SSBiN.ORG

eMail Policy

Summary:
The SSBiN.org internet web site collects eMail IDs from people who have expressed an interest in keeping up to date with SSBiN.org news. eMail IDs are collected via a registration screen. The registrants are provided with a Privacy policy that is available via the SSBiN.org web site. This privacy policy explains that their names and eMail addresses will not be distributed outside of the SSBiN network organization without their expressed written consent.

Purpose:
The primary purpose for gathering IDs will be to keep registrants up to date on SSBiN.org news and to provide notification of articles and events that are pertinent to local entrepreneurs. This will serve to assist local entrepreneurs as well as provide a reminder of the services provided via the SSBiN web site. Registrants will also be encouraged to forward eMails to other entrepreneurs, which will assist in building SSBiN.org’s visibility.

General Policy Guidelines:

  1. The eMails will be sent using a “blind copy” so that the eMail IDs will not be visible to anyone receiving the note
  2. The eMails will contain links to the SSBiN privacy policy as well as a message explaining how to be removed from the eMail list

Specific eMail Guidelines:

  1. Three members of the ESBA will volunteer to oversee the use of SSBiN eMails to registrants
  2. Duties will include:
    a. Approve eMail content and frequency
    b. Solicit and review ideas for content
    c. Approve any other use or dissemination of the list of registrants
