FREE ENTREPRENEUR ORIENTATION SEMINAR
A free orientation for potential business owners will be offered on October 26th, from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at the Hoyt Main Library, 505 Janes Ave, Saginaw, MI. Learn about community resources and the basics on business ownership from a local expert. These opportunities are sponsored by Saginaw Future, Inc., the Public Libraries of Saginaw, Saginaw County Minority Business Development Center, Small Business & Technology Development Center and the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce. SEMINAR: BUSINESS PLAN BASICS - MIDLAND
A free Business Plan Basics Seminar will be held Thursday, November 2, 2006, at the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, 1710 W. St. Andrews, Midland, from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Attendance is free and recommended for those who would like to start a small business or those in business that would like to be acquainted with community and business resources.

The seminar is an overview of what it takes to start a business; where to go for information and assistance; the business plan and why you need one; licenses and permits; funding and the myth of “Free Money”; and resources available to help set up your business.

Seminar sponsors are Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, Midland Tomorrow, Midland Area Chamber of Commerce, and Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center at Delta College.

SEMINAR: BUSINESS PLAN BASICS - BAY CITY
The same Business Plan Basics Seminar as mentioned above, only in Bay City. This seminar will be held Thursday, November 9, 2006, at the new Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library, 500 Center Avenue, Bay City, from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Attendance is free and recommended for those who would like to start a small business or those in business that would like to be acquainted with community and business resources.

CONFERENCE: LEADING IN TODAY'S TURBULENT WORLD
“Leading in Today’s Turbulent World”, a sustainable approach to achieving bottom line success, will be held on Thursday, November 2nd at the MidMichigan Innovation Center, in Midland, MI. As a result of attending this interactive program, leaders will discover ways to enable a more productive,
creative, and collaborative work climate, which in turn simultaneously improves bottom line performance, customer service, job creation and retention, and employee morale. Two four-hour programs will be held
on November 2nd, initially at 8:30am-12:30pm and repeated at 1:30-5:30pm. The cost is $45.00 per person. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Additional program information and online registration is

COMING SOON! ENTREPRENEUR ROUNDTABLE
"Get Your Business Rolling with a Roundtable" is the theme for an exciting new event just for entrepreneurs. The roundtable will offer the opportunity for entrepreneurs to network with other entrepreneurs and discuss such topics as accounting, marketing, insurance and legal issues. The target audience is small businesses that have been in operation for at least
one year.

Look for more information in January. The first roundtable is scheduled for February 27, 2007 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Saginaw ISD on Fashion Square Blvd..
